Why do I have to have such a low self-esteem?

I’m already old, but I wish I was just a few years older. This stage of life is getting a bit tiresome.

My parents are the most irresponsible parents to ever exist. They allowed my barely 17 year old sister to “go out” with a 21 year old guy all day long. In Denver. As my sister and I worried sick about when she’d finally be home, seeing as there is no way to contact her, my dad nonchalantly says, “She said she’d be home in a little while”. Almost 15 hours later!!! My goodness! How hard is it to be a decent parent sometimes? This is how children get killed. They are so ridiculously stupid sometimes. And it angers me so much.
